Church parking lot
Dad loved cars so it’s no surprise to see them in several of his paintings. I wonder, however, about the building they are parked in front of. Perhaps a church? My father was raised a Methodist but by the time his own kids were born, he vowed they would not be brought up fearing the perils of hell as he had. My parents became Unitarian Universalists, Dad an outspoken atheist, Mom ensuring we treat religions with respect—just like any classic mythology.

Although this is a church, to some extent it resembles the brick home of Dad’s parents on Beechdale in Detroit.
I was thinking either a church or a mansion. While this has some of the feel of our grandparents’ home, it’s far bigger.
